This  Rathnapura tea estate is situated 80 km from Colombo, close to the Sinharajah Rain Forest and in the foothills of Adam’s Peak.  It is to be found in the village of Paragala, 4km from Ayagama town which is connected to Kalawana by a road that runs past the estate.  Ayagama is a developing market town with a weekly fair, shops, 2 banks and a direct bus route to Colombo.

Although the land is not currently being fully exploited it has an estimated potential yield of 23,000 kg freshly plucked tea leaves per month.  The 3-bedroomed bungalow is supplied with electricity and water and has an attractive view from its spacious verandah facing the hills.  There are also 16 sturdy workers’ quarters provided with water and toilet facilities and one centrally located office.
